The dashboard view was designed for people who are somewhat intimidated by web sites and/or computers in general. Instead of having to navigate to several different web pages to view where your spouse has been or run reports on their travels, you can get it all right here. It doesn't offer all of the functionality you can get on some of the other pages, but does offer a pretty fair subset on just one web page.

One feature that's real nice is the ability to click on the "MAP" button on each row of the report and instantly get a popup indicating which balloon corresponds to that entry on the report along with all of the information regarding that location.
